Youth participation, social cohesion and humanitarian work: training for young people

On June 14 and 16, 2022, a training was held for young people who are involved in humanitarian response in Ukraine and abroad, to increase knowledge and skills regarding youth participation, as well as to share the experience of humanitarian work.

The international training was focused on building the potential of young people to participate in the humanitarian sector. The training brought together young people and actors in the humanitarian field (UN and civil society organizations) and included interactive sessions, case studies, development of action plans and networking of young people involved in humanitarian actions from different countries.

The Council of Europe project "Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase II" became a co-organizer of the event, in particular, it prepared a presentation of educational resources and approaches of the Council of Europe in the field of social cohesion and peacebuilding in communities, in particular those that host internally displaced persons.

For example, the "Under 30" podcast from the European Union and Council of Europe Youth Partnership has a special series of episodes dedicated to youth work during the war period in Ukraine and beyond.
