Webinar content
Local and regional programmes providing for support measures for internally displaced persons (hereinafter — IDPs) are an instrument for implementing state policy in the field of internal displacement at the local and regional levels. It is through such programmes that communities define specific IDP support measures, priorities, necessary resources and expected results.
The Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine (hereinafter — the Ministry) has approved the Methodological Recommendations for the Development and Monitoring of the Implementation of Regional and Local Programmes Aimed at Supporting Internally Displaced Persons (hereinafter — the Methodological Recommendations).
During the webinar, Council of Europe national consultants, together with representatives of the Ministry, will present the Methodological Recommendations, their structure and main provisions, as well as practical approaches to applying them. Participants will be able to ask questions, share their own experience and identify challenges that may arise when developing, implementing and monitoring local programmes providing for IDP support measures.
A separate part of the webinar will be devoted to an analysis of IDP support practices in the regions and the key challenges faced by communities when developing such programmes. At the initiative of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine and with the support of the Council of Europe project, a study was conducted on communities’ approaches to IDP support programmes, and best practices were identified. This study is reflected in the Analytical Brief “Experience of Supporting Internally Displaced Persons in the Regions: An Analysis of Practices”.
The webinar will be held online, live, in Ukrainian. A recording of the webinar will be available after the event.
