Having difficulties reviewing applications for compensation for damaged and destroyed housing under the eRecovery program? There is a solution!

The NGO “Get It Back”, in cooperation with of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine and with the support of the Council of Europe*, will organise a series of online practical workshops entitled “Access to compensation for destroyed housing through the lens of case law: addressing challenging issues and learning from practice”.

During the workshops, participants will not only examine the latest case law on compensation for damaged and destroyed housing but will also learn practical step-by-step approaches to addressing the most common challenges arising in the implementation of the “eRecovery” programme.

The workshops will cover the following topics:

  • How to confirm ownership of destroyed housing in complex cases;
  • How to effectively challenge decisions, actions, or inaction by authorities responsible for deciding on compensation;
  • Practical aspects of enforcing court decisions and working with the technical functionality of the Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property;
  • Specific aspects of terminating ownership rights to destroyed housing;
  • Common mistakes made by applicants and public authorities that lead to compensation denials or legal disputes.

We invite representatives of local self-government authorities, members of commissions responsible for reviewing compensation claims for destroyed and damaged immovable property, state registrars, Administrative Service Centre (CNAP) administrators, notaries, and other professionals involved in the implementation of the eRecovery programme to register and participate.

The workshops will be held online via Zoom from 9 to 18 June 2026 and will be organised separately for participants from different regions of Ukraine.
