On 25 September 2026, the International Youth Forum "Growing Up in a Crisis: Youth Resilience and Politics in Wartime" was held in Khmelnytskyi.
Young people from Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv talked about youth resilience, international co-operation, leadership, civic participation and opportunities.
At the invitation of the organizers, the Council of Europe Project "Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase IV" presented the resources and opportunities of the Council of Europe in the youth sector, in particular:
- Grant opportunities for youth СІOs from the European Youth Foundation;
- Visual tool for education "Зірки. Stars. Les etoiles»;
- Board game about the participation of young people "Solutions exist!" ;
- Manuals and other educational resources on youth participation, youth policy, and trauma-informed youth work.
An important result of the Forum was the creation and signing of a joint manifesto — an appeal to future generations. The participants testified their readiness to continue co-operation between cities, develop youth policy and create more opportunities for youth participation.
The organisers of the forum - the Department of Youth and Sports together with the Department of Investment Policy and International Co-operation of the Khmelnytskyi City Council.
