Council of Europe projects, together with partners, have created a series of resources for resilience and recovery

"How can I support you?" is a question that needs to be answered by both professional communities and those with whom they work. In response to the needs of national and local partners in Ukraine, in 2024 the Council of Europe launched a one - year programme "Trauma-informed approach in the context of access to human rights and basic services for internally displaced persons and returnees to Ukraine".

The trainers of the programme initiated the creation of educational and informational posters on resilience and recovery, which would be available in the premises of organisations and youth centres. The working group analysed the resources that already exist and developed the terms of reference for the creation of a series of such posters.

A series of seven posters was prepared within the framework of the Council of Europe projects "Facilitating access to human rights and essential services for internally displaced persons and returnees at the community level"  and "Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase III" in co-operation with the team of the twice displaced Donetsk Regional Youth Centre (Vinnytsia) and illustrator Iryna Vale.

"Such posters are an opportunity for a wider audience to learn about important things, such as support and reassurance techniques, about what can be empowering and inspiring. This is a kind of guide to inner strength, as accessible as possible for everyone and suitable for use in any space," says Lidiya Indychenko, director of the Donetsk Regional Youth Centre.
