The Second International Forum of Agglomerations of Ukraine will take place in Lviv on 24 October 2025. The Association “Lviv Agglomeration” invites representatives of local authorities, regional institutions, the expert community, international partners, and media representatives to attend to the event.
The main topic of this year’s Forum is: "Agglomerations and Functional Territories: European Approaches and Their Implementation in Ukraine”.
The Forum will consist of four thematic panels:
- Development of agglomerations: prospects for implementing European approaches and Council of Europe standards in Ukraine;
- Agglomerations and functional territories: international experience;
- Types of functional territories as regional growth poles in Ukraine;
- Urban agglomerations as an example of good metropolitan governance in Ukraine;
- Metropolitan planning models of the United States of America.
The forum will serve as a platform for discussing reform, prospects, and strengthening inter-municipal co-operation, as well as shaping a modern vision for the development of agglomerations in the context of Ukraine’s recovery and European integration through the exchange of experiences and perspectives among representatives of local authorities, the Parliament, and Government.
Participation is free, subject to prior registration:
