On 06 February 2025 (13:00-16:00), a discussion of the new instrument of state support for internally displaced persons - housing rental subsidy will take place.
The event will be broadcast live on the official pages of the Ministry of Social Policy on Youtube and Facebook, as well as on the Facebook page of the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine.
How will the new tool work? To whom and in what life situations will it apply? How and where to address? What will be the amount of assistance and what will it depend on? Answers to these and other questions will be provided during the event.
The housing rental subsidy for IDPs has become available since 29 January 2025. This tool to support the war-affected people in Ukraine was developed by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine with the support of the Council of Europe.
Members of the Parliament, representatives of government bodies, international and civil society organisations will join the discussion on the mechanism for implementing the housing rental subsidy.

The event is organised by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine under support of the Council of Europe projects "Enhanced social protection in Ukraine", "Facilitating access to human rights and essential services for internally displaced persons and returnees at the community level" and "Facilitating housing solutions for the war-affected people in Ukraine", which are implemented within the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine “Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction” for 2023-2026.
