Strengthening the human rights protection of refugees and migrants in the Republic of Moldova: phase II
The main objective of the project is to enhance the protection of refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants in the Republic of Moldova by improving the capacities of the Moldovan authorities.
This is to be done by a) developing more effective and human rights-based migration, asylum, and reception systems in the long term and b) provision of tailored support to the country in addressing the needs of refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants.
Main partners and beneficiaries: Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, Ministry of Education and Research, National Institute of Justice, People’s Advocate Office, Civil society organisations, refugees, asylum seekers, migrants.
Refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants in the Republic of Moldova are better protected in line with European and international human rights standards:
National authorities implement the legislative and policy framework on human rights protection of refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants in line with European and international standards.
Migration authorities, legal professionals, the judiciary, civil servants, and other professionals (police, border police officers, People’s Advocate Office) apply a human rights-based approach to advance the protection of refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants.
National authorities, psychologists, education professionals and civil society organisations facilitate access to support services,psychological aid, and integration programmes for refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants.
