New trainers supporting the professional development of Albania’s electoral administration ahead of the 2027 elections strengthened their knowledge and skills during a five-day training, organised with the support of the European Union and Council of Europe.
The programme covered the roles and responsibilities of the Zonal Election Administration Commissions, Voting Centre Commissions and Vote Counting Teams, as well as the use of electronic identification devices. Through interactive learning methods and the analysis of practical cases from previous elections, participants developed the knowledge and practical skills to train members of the electoral administration in their respective roles. Following the successful completion of the programme, the new trainers may advance to the comprehensive training phase organised by the Central Election Commission as part of the certification process.
The activity was jointly organised by the Central Election Commission and the Council of Europe through the Action Support to the Electoral Cycle in Albania, co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe. The action contributes to the strengthening of professional and institutional capacities for the effective administration of future elections in Albania.
