Enhancing transparency of electoral disputes resolution: Roundtable on the Complaint Tracking and Monitoring Platform

The Council of Europe, which supported the creation of the Complaint Tracking and Monitoring (CTM) Platform, assisted the Central Election Commission (CEC) in organising a roundtable to present and discuss its functionalities. The platform enables denunciations and complaints to be submitted online, allowing the CEC to register, track, and analyse them throughout the electoral process. It ensures transparency by allowing all users, including citizens, to track the status and progress of each submission.

The roundtable brought together representatives from the CEC, political parties, civil society, and international organisations. Following a presentation of the platform’s features, the discussions focused on recommendations for further improvements towards effectiveness and user-friendliness to ensure that it effectively supports the resolution of electoral disputes.

Through this initiative, the Council of Europe aims to further strengthen mechanisms to enhance electoral integrity, institutional transparency, and public trust in elections.

This activity was organised in the framework of the Strengthening Electoral Integrity in Albania (SEI) project, implemented by the Council of Europe and funded by the Federal Republic of Germany.
