On 22 October 2026, the Council of Europe’s Network of Single Contact Points for the exchange of procedural information regarding victims of terrorism held an online meeting to discuss matters related to the functioning of the Network and new initiatives to enhance the Network’s operational efficiency and contribution to victim protection.
The meeting focused on a project aimed at publishing essential information to enable victims of terrorism, particularly cross-border victims, to understand their rights and access the support services available in the Network’s member states following a terrorist attack. Contact Points will continue examining this and other topics of interest at their next meeting, scheduled to take place in Paris in March 2027.
The Network of Single Contact Points for the exchange of procedural information regarding victims of terrorism was established by the Council of Europe Committee on Counter-Terrorism (CDCT) in 2019 to strengthen co-operation and facilitate the timely and secure sharing of information between contact points designated by the relevant national authorities. Open to Council of Europe member states as well as other interested states, it is currently composed of 36 members.
