On 22 November 2024, a group of representatives of seven Finnish municipalities (Hämeenlinna, Kuopio, Tampere, Turku, Vaasa, Vantaa and Oulu) participated in a training course on the collection of equality data and the prevention of systemic discrimination in Helsinki.

The training session strengthened participants’ understanding of the use of equality data in response to systemic discrimination as well as their commitment to developing initiatives and strategies to respond to systemic discrimination through the use of equality data. It was conducted by the Council of Europe (ICC) Expert Niall Crowley.

This training session was organised in collaboration with the Finnish Ministry of Justice in the framework of the EU/CoE Joint Project on “Building an inclusive integration approach in Finland”.
