The CPT held its 111th plenary meeting in July 2023

At this session, the Committee adopted the reports on its periodic visit to Luxembourg (March/April 2023) and its ad hoc visits to Azerbaijan (December 2022), Bulgaria (March 2023), Georgia (March 2023), Moldova (December 2022), Serbia (March 2023) and the United Kingdom (March/April 2023). These reports will subsequently be transmitted to the governments concerned [1].

The CPT heard oral presentations on the periodic visits carried out between May and June 2023 in Albania, Cyprus, Estonia and Hungary. It also examined the government responses to previous visit reports, in particular those concerning Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Latvia, Montenegro, the Netherlands, PolandTürkiye and the United Kingdom (ad hoc visits in November 2022 and January 2023) as well as the responses concerning the return flight organised in November 2022 from Belgium and Cyprus to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

The Committee examined its programme of visits for the second half of 2023 and prepared for the periodic visits scheduled for 2024. It also continued its discussions on the organisation of its work and other issues relating to its mandate.
