Description
MAYASA's main activity focuses on the promotion of industrial, tourist and cultural projects – such as the recovery and maintenance of the Company's historical heritage - and the implementation of initiatives for the development of research projects and new technologies related to mercury.
The Almadén Mining Park is the living heritage of the two thousand years of Almadén mercury mining exploitation. Mercury is shown in the Park in all its aspects, the extraction of its mineral, cinnabar, mercury sulfide, its transformation in metallurgical furnaces, its physical and chemical properties.
The Almadén Mining Park is an Anchor Point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
