The Symposium, “The European dimension in National Systems” will be organised by the Observatory on History Teaching in Europe (OHTE) in partnership with the Greek General State Archives and the Hellenic Institute of Educational Policy, under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports. The event builds on a series of national symposiums held in OHTE member states, whose findings will be presented on this occasion.

A keynote by Birte Wassenberg, Professor of Modern History at Science Po Strasbourg, entitled "What History for Europe?", will explore how Europe can be understood as a historical subject.
