An event entitled “Sport in the Time of War”, will be organised by the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS) of the Council of Europe in co-operation with the Permanent Missions of Monaco, Ukraine and Costa Rica to the United Nations Office and other International Organisations.
The event will be held on the margins of the 62nd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in English in hybrid format.
Given the current geopolitical crises facing the world, including the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, with its wider ramifications, and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the availability of “Sport in the Time of War” becomes more important than ever as a beacon of light in people’s lives and a potential motor for change towards finding paths to peace.
