- Descripción
- The Abbey of Sylvanès is a former Cistercian monastery founded in 1136. The former monastery became property of the Municipality of Sylvanès in 1970. Since 1975, it has been experiencing an exceptional renaissance thanks to the dynamic action of the Association of the Friends of the Sylvanès Abbey. Today is it a cultural centre, offering artistic practice courses, symposia and conferences (www.cister.net/abbayes/fr/125/sylvanes).
