Descripción
The Cave of Altamira is one of the most important Palaeolithic rock art site in the world, with hundreds of rock art figures of many different kinds dating from a period between Gravettian (about 23,000 years ago) and Magdalenian (13,000 years ago). The National Museum and Research Center of Altamira features a replica of the original cave. It is a National Museum of Spain under the Ministry of Culture and Sport.
