A draft Code was presented by the initiative (APC, CoE and UNECE) and was discussed at IGF 2010, at Workshop No 110 ‘Applying a Code of Good Practice on information, participation and transparency in Internet Governance’ which took place on 16 September.  Participants, including key IGF stakeholders APNIC (Regional Internet Registry that allocates IP and AS numbers in the Asia Pacific region) and NRO (Number Resource Organization), welcomed the initiative. Both expressed their willingness  to associate themselves with the further development and test applications of the Code. It was suggested that this tool should be referred to as a reference model adaptable and practically applicable to the specificities of each process.
