Training of Trainers in Human Rights Education with Young People (TOTHRE 2017)

This training course will support the role of youth organisations and develop the competences of trainers and multipliers to apply and develop quality human rights education with young people, especially at national and local level and to advocate for the further mainstreaming of human rights education in youth policy and youth work.

 

Profile of the participants

The course is designed for participants who are:
  • active as trainers or facilitators in non–formal education, especially within youth organisations and associations, in youth work activities and in other NGOs concerned with human rights education;
  • teacher trainers with a multiplying role within formal education systems and are interested in introducing non-formal learning methodologies in their human rights education activities.

The training process will consist of three phases:
  • 1st phase: e-learning (23 June -31 July and September 2017)
  • 2nd phase: residential training seminar to be held at the European Youth Centre Budapest from 2 to 11 October 2017.
  • 3rd phase: follow-up activities, including  e-learning (25 October – 15 December)

 

Application, procedure and selection of participants

All candidates must apply on-line through this link:  http://youthapplications.coe.int Applications must be accompanied by a letter of support from their sending organization/institution, to be uploaded on the platform. In case of several applicants from the same organisation, the support letter should indicate the priority of the applicants. The Council of Europe will select up to 40 participants on the basis of the profile outlined in the detailed call.

The application form must be submitted on-line with the support letters by 13.00 PM, Friday, 9th June 2017.
