Support to Consolidating Local Democracy in Armenia (follow-up)

Organised in the context of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Armenia, this project aimed at strengthening local democracy and supporting decentralisation in Armenia.  Assistance was given to the government to improve the legal and institutional framework of local self-government in line with European standards and tools.  Armenian communities benefited from capacity building activities designed to reinforce cooperation between themselves and deliver more effective and efficient municipal services to citizens.
