Project Description

The cooperation Project “Enhanced Access to Legal Aid Services for Marginalised Population” supports legal aid providers in Georgia to increase the effectiveness, promptness, and accessibility of legal aid throughout the country, especially in regions and among minority populated areas. The project supports the Legal Aid Service (LAS) to reform its legislation and increase institutional capacity to comply with its expanded mandate. The project will also develop new tools aimed at improving the quality of legal services and the capacity of the LAS Training Centre. The project works with legal aid providers to increase awareness on available services in the country, including in rural and minority populated areas and supports coordination between justice sector actors.
