Discussing the need for effective implementation of the guidelines and tools on time management and fair trial

The European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) organised training on its guidelines and tools on time management and fair trial. The event targeted judges, court presidents, and the court staff involved in the judicial decision-making process.

The event aimed at introducing the participants to the notion and the guarantees of fair trial to the procedural rights and the minimum standards developed by the European Court of Human Rights. The meeting provided practical guidance to the members of the Judiciary in ensuring that the right to trial within a reasonable time is fully and properly implemented.

The training is a part of the Project "Enhancing the Accountability and the Efficiency of the Judicial System and the Professionalism of Lawyers in Georgia" funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe, and implemented by the Council of Europe in their Partnership for Good Governance (PGG II).
