Secretary General’s Special Representative to visit refugee and migrant camps in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Special Representative of the Secretary General on Migration and Refugees, Ambassador Drahoslav Štefánek will be in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 24-30 January 2021, to visit the reception facilities of Miral, Sedra, Borici, the Emergency Tent Camp Lipa in Una-Sana Canton, as well as the Ušivak Temporary Reception Centre in the canton of Sarajevo.

The Special Representative will also have meetings with representatives of local, cantonal and national authorities and representatives from relevant international organisations and NGOs in Bihac and Sarajevo. The aim of the trip is to assess the current situation of migrants and refugees in particular in the Bihac area, with a focus on vulnerable groups.
