The final Module III of the new comprehensive Drug Policy Executive Course of the Pompidou Group’s International Drug Policy Academy took place in Valletta, Malta from 26 to 29 April 2022, hosted by the University of Malta. This module focused on monitoring, evaluation and communication. Participants gained knowledge and practical skills on how to identify and adopt in the best possible way the available methodologies to monitor drug prevalence and trends, as well as analysing research findings and models of practice for use and application. The knowledge acquired will be an asset for policy development and implementation. Learned competences will help to more effectively evaluating drug policies, strategies, action plans. Enhanced communication skills enable participants now to effectively communicate the aims, objectives and outcomes of drug policies to different stakeholders and audiences. During the graduation ceremony the Certificates in Advanced Drug Policy Management were formally handed over to participants by representatives of the Pompidou Group, the University of Malta and University of Syracuse, two partner academic institutions.
