The network of mediators - supervisors was created with the support of the action "Accountability and professionalism of the judicial system in Montenegro". The supervisors took part in a training of trainers (ToT) on how to implement the unique methodology for evaluating the work of mediators which was developed in February 2021 under the action.

The training which was delivered on 25/26 May in Podgorica enhances supervisors’ ability to fulfil their role effectively to contribute to greater mediators' accountability. With the support of a Council of Europe international consultant, the supervisors also developed a questionnaire for assessing the work of mediators which will be further employed.

The results of the initial implementation of the methodology will be discussed over upcoming supervisors' meetings scheduled for September 2021. The methodology was further presented to mediators during an online training held on 26 May.

These activities were implemented in co-operation with the Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution of Montenegro, under the action "Accountability and professionalism in the judicial system of Montenegro" which is part of the joint programme of the European Union and the Council of Europe "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022."
