Researchers, experts, ONGs, parliamentarians, senator and students attended the seminar on the role of women in cultural and religious dialogue, information and education in Mediterranean region.

“At this time of the increase of extremism in the both sides of Mediterranean, the cultural mediation role of women is crucial” Jean-Marie Heydt highlighted in the conclusions.

"We need to continue to advocate for the relationship between our civilisations. It is necessary to encourage all the attempts to forge ahead. It is necessary to support the countries which are committed in the way of the progress and have a vision of future, as Morocco. It is also necessary to encourage organisations’ citizens, in particular women's organisations which eliminate very often the deficiencies of the parties and the political leaders in the Southern Mediterranean countries, for example in the Lebanon and in Tunisia.“ Said Dr. Zeina El Tibi, President of AFACOM and member of the EuroMed Women Network of the North-South Centre.
