On 13 October a first webinar for University lecturers and students was conducted by the Senior Registry Lawyers of the European Court of Human Rights, Dr. Roberta MUSCAT, in co-operation with the Bilkent University in Ankara. It was done within the framework of the project “Strengthening the human rights protection of migrants and victims of human trafficking in Turkey”, which is being carried out in the framework of the co-operation initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Union under Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey Programme (Horizontal Facility II) 2019-2022.

Participants got familiar with European and European Convention on Human Rights standards in the field of migration through the optic of the European Court of Human Rights case-law.

Almost 60 young lawyers have attended the webinar that was moderated by Dr. A. Dicle ERGİN. The webinar covered topics such as immigration detention, alternatives to detention and relevant European standards.
