The Head of the Council of Europe Office in Tirana, Jutta Gützkow, continued the regional visits and exchanges with cadastre’s staff and relevant local authorities of Durres, Kruja, Bulqize and Diber focusing on important practical challenges and related aspects regarding the implementation of the law 20/2020 on the finalisation of transitional ownership processes. These visits are connected to the Action’s follow up assistance to the State Cadastre and other public agencies involved in the implementation of the law 20/2020 as well legal education of property owners. 

Insightful discussions with the Mayors of Mat, Agron Malaj and Bulqiza, Lefter Alla, as well as with representative of local cadastre’ offices steered the ideas on further cooperation in the context of the joint EU and Council of Europe Action “Supporting enforcement of judicial decisions and facilitating execution of ECtHR judgments in Albania”, under the “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022”.
