Aleid van den Brink, member of GREVIO, participated and contributed to Conference on the “Compatibility of legislation of the Republic of Moldova with the provisions of the Council of Europe Convention preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence (Istanbul Convention) and the importance of the ratification of the convention”. In her intervention, Ms van den Brink focused on the purpose, standards and key principles of the convention, recommendations on ensuring access of victims of gender-based and domestic violence to justice and specialised support services and challenges related to ratification of the convention as well as solutions to overcome them.
