The theme for the joint Intercultural Cities campaign to mark World Refugee Day 2022 is solidarity. We wish to acknowledge the city to city support we have seen across Europe over the past months, as well as the welcome that cities provide to refugees.

Cities are on the front line of welcoming refugees and providing them with immediate and long-term assistance which can enable refugees to thrive. Each year on 20 June, the world celebrates Refugee Day and the Intercultural Cities Network campaigns together to help focus attention on welcoming those who are fleeing conflict or persecution.

Cities from the intercultural network have shared filmed testimonials, statements, and refugee stories about how they support each other #Cities2Cities and how they stand #WithRefugees.
