At the invitation of the Italian High Council of the Judiciary, the CCPE will gather in Rome on 16-17 December to hold its session.
During this meeting, the CCPE should adopt Opinion No. 9 which will constitute a Reference document on European norms and principles concerning prosecutors. The aim of this document is to put at the disposal of the European prosecutors and stakeholders a kind of Charter for prosecutors, containing both the main principles providing guidance for their actions, nearly 15 years after the adoption of Recommendation N) (2000)19 on the role of public prosecution in the criminal justice system.
Before the plenary meeting, the Italian Higher Council of the Judiciary and the CCPE will jointly organise an international Conference, on 15 December 2014, on the theme “The organizational statute of the Public Prosecution in Europe and the relationship with the investigatory structures”.
