Clube Intercultural Europeu in cooperation with the Youth Department of the Council of Europe organised the Compass National Training Course “Human Rights Education for Inclusion and Empowerment”.
The activity was held from 12 to 16 September 2022 in Escola Artística António Arroio (Lisbon, Portugal).
The training course brought 24 youth workers and youth leaders together in Lisbon to discover the Human Rights Education methodologies and use them in the following work with communities that are seldom involved in human rights education events in Portugal.
The main objectives of the course were:
- to give the participants tools and practical experience in using activities and implement projects based on COMPASS and other Council of Europe manuals;
- to create networks and partnerships between individuals and organisations that work towards the promotion and protection of Human Rights and social inclusion in Lisbon.
Through the training course participants prepared to the implementation follow-up sessions with children and young people in vulnerable situations.
