Initiated by France and financed by the European Commission, it has enabled during one year meetings between professionals, managers and owners of historic gardens in four European countries (Belgium, Spain, France, Hungary) to acquire new knowledge and know-how on the management of historic gardens between European countries.

The aim of these exchanges was to share skills and knowledge, to observe and acquire knowledge, know-how, techniques and practices that do not exist or no longer exist in France or in other countries, and to train and pass on technical management and public reception skills between owners and managers of historic gardens.

The project also produced a multilingual thesaurus on garden terminology defining around 100 terms in 15 European languages (Czech, Croatian, English, Estonian, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Slovene, Spanish and Spanish).
