Main activities:

  • Best Practice Programme (BPP)
  • Capacity building to authorities of the Autonomous Territorial Unit Gagauzia (under PCF)

The Centre continued providing support to the implementation of the BPP and to the decentralisation reform in 2015.

The Republic of Moldova is also a part of the Programatic Cooperation Framework project for Eastern Partnership Countries (PCF) which is managed by the Centre’s team in the Council of Europe’s Chisinau office.

Capacity-building training for staff of the People’s Assembly and the Executive Committee of Gagauzia, Republic of Moldova

The Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform via Council of Europe office in Chisinau organised two day capacity-building training for the staff of the People’s Assembly and Executive Committee of Autonomos Teritorial Unit Gagauzia.

Main goal of the Training was strengthening of capacities of the staffs involved in the process of elaboration of the normative acts and in consultations on the draft legislation in the field of legislative initiatives and opinions on draft laws.

Training was delivered by the Council of Europe’s experts and practitioners from Moldovan public authorities and was organised as a part of the "Strengthening Democracy and Local Governance in the Eastern Partnership countries 2015-2017" under the Programmatic Cooperation Framework (PCF) mainly funded by the European Union.

Training took place on 23-24 March 2016, vil.Vadul lui Voda, mun.Chisinau, touristic centre `Vatra-Elita`.
