Assessment meetings on Inter-municipal co-operation for Solid Waste Management in Adjara, Georgia

The Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform within the Good Governance Division, DG-II of the Council of Europe is organising a series of meetings on the technical assessment of inter-municipal co-operation for Solid Waste Management (SWM) in Adjara, Georgia.

The meetings will take place during 31 July and 4 August and will have as priority the assessment of the status-quo of SWM in Adjara region by conducting field visits to involved three municipalities and holding discussions with representatives of Adjara Government and Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, public companies responsible for waste collection services, as well as Municipal Services Development Centre.

This activity is funded by the European Union and co-funded by the Council of Europe, within the Thematic Programme “Strengthening institutional frameworks for local governance” under the Partnership for Good Governance (PGG) 2015-2017 for Eastern Partnership countries.
