Committee of experts on human rights dimensions of automated data processing meets in Strasbourg for the third time

The 3rd meeting of the Committee of experts on human rights dimensions of automated data processing and different forms of artificial intelligence (MSI-AUT) takes place in Strasbourg on 18 and 19 March 2019.

The Committee discusses the revised draft of a recommendation on the human rights impacts of algorithmic systems, and is providing feedback on two studies: the draft study of the implications of advanced digital technologies (including AI systems) for the concept of responsibility within a human rights framework, and the draft study on forms of liability and jurisdictional issues in the application of civil and administrative defamation laws in Council of Europe member states. The two studies will be submitted for approval to the CDMSI in its June plenary.
