143rd meeting of the Governmental Committee of the European Social Charter and the European Code of Social Security

The Governmental Committee* of the European Social Charter and the European Code of Social Security (‘Governmental Committee’) will hold its 143rd meeting from 13 to 17 December 2021 in hybrid mode.

The Governmental Committee will take stock of the situation relating to the ongoing reform process of the European Social Charter and will discuss its involvement in the process.

An up-dated list of INGOs entitled to lodge collective complaints will also be submitted to the Governmental Committee with a view to its adoption.

Furthermore, the Governmental Committee will proceed with the examination of national situations with respect to the thematic group “Employment, training and equal opportunities”, Conclusions XXII-1(2020) – 1961 European Social Charter (ESC) and Conclusions 2020 – Revised European Social Charter (RESC).

The Governmental Committee will also elect its new bureau for the period 2022-2023.

* The Governmental Committee is composed of Representatives of the States Parties which ratified either the European Social Charter or the European Code of Social Security.
