The conference was opened by Dr. Pavel Doleček, Deputy Minister for Higher Education, Science and Research Section of the Czech Republic, by Jindřich Fryč, State Secretary, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic and by Matjaž Gruden, Director of Democratic Participation of the Council of Europe
The meeting gave an opportunity to exchange information and good practices on ethics, transparency and integrity in education among the 35 countries represented. It also put a specific focus on the roles and responsibilities of public authorities in promoting quality education exempt from fraud.
Four years after the official launch of the Platform in Prague, the meeting also allowed to take stock of progresses achieved in the ETINED programme of activities, one of them being the Recommendation CM/Rec(2019)9 of the Committee of Ministers on fostering a culture of ethics in the teaching profession.
