Convention 108+ at a European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) training session

On 29 and 30 May in Zadar (Croatia), the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN), main platform and promoter for the training and exchange of knowledge of the European judiciary, representing the interests of over 120,000 European judges, prosecutors, judicial trainers and court staff across Europe, held a training focused on the most relevant legal and jurisprudential developments in the field of data protection and the protection of the right to private life.

Of course, the Council of Europe Convention 108+ featured high on the agenda with a presentation of its principles and of the related case law of the European Court of Human Rights and exchanges with the participants.

This training, targeting  administrative and civil and criminal law judges was seeking to operate as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and best practices among colleagues, the debate of key developments in this field, and the creation of lasting networks of judicial cooperation and understanding in one of the most pressing fields of judicial development in Europe.
