Logo Programmatic Cooperation Framework for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and BelarusThis project represents one of the four National Components under the Council of Europe / European Union Partnership for Good Governance  (PGG) Programme “Fight against corruption and fostering good governance/ Fight against money-laundering” for Eastern Partnership countries specifically conceptualised to respond to the evolving situation in Ukraine. It functions as an Open Facility of Advisory Services aimed at providing Ukrainian authorities access to the wealth of Council of Europe expertise in the anti-corruption/economic crime field pursuant to existing and emerging needs.

The overall objective of the PGG-UA Project is to contribute to democracy and the rule of law through prevention and control of corruption in Ukraine. Specifically, the Project looks to strengthen institutional capacities to counter corruption in Ukraine, in accordance with European standards, through targeted technical assistance. Project expected results and accompanying activities have been set through negotiations with Ukrainian authorities assigned to development and implementation of ongoing anti-corruption reforms in Ukraine.
