Some 140 representatives of federal ministries, local administration, Courts, law-enforcement agencies and private law firms from 37 Russian regions attended the first seminar on “Basic Anti-corruption Concepts” which took place on 14-18 May 2012 in Moscow. The seminar was organised jointly by the Council of Europe and the Moscow Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). Council of Europe experts advised the audience on anti-corruption standards, measuring and monitoring mechanisms, ethical values and principles in the public service, best practices and international success stories. The participants are expected to apply new concepts at workplace and act as multipliers vis-à-vis their colleagues and professional counterparts.
