In collaboration with the National Institute of Justice, the CLEP project organized a summer school on asset recovery for Moldovan judges and prosecutors (18 men and 4 women). Staff of the Asset Recovery Office of the Republic of Moldova presented the current national practices, while CoE experts provided presentations on European and international practices on seizure and confiscation of assets as well as on investigations into illicit enrichment. The Case Law of the European Court of Human Rights on these matters was also discussed. The participants took part in a practical exercise covering various steps of asset recovery, thereby practicing lessons learned through different training sessions.
