The Council of Europe organized a scoping mission to assess the needs of Kazakh authorities in the field of anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, asset recovery and mutual legal assistance. The mission was coordinated by the President’s Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and included meetings with the General Prosecutor’s Office and its Training Academy, the Committee for Financial Monitoring, the State Agency for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption and the Academy for Civil Service under the President of Kazakhstan. The needs of Kazakh authorities identified during the mission will be incorporated into an anti-corruption project concept for the Central Asian region currently in the phase of preparation.
