On 21 and 22 May, prosecutors and criminal investigation officers from the Chisinau Municipality Prosecution Office and Specialized Prosecution Offices attended a training on presentation of evidence in courts in regard to economic and financial crimes. The participants were engaged in group exercises on evidence collection and introduced to ways to ensure that intelligence obtained through financial investigations and covert operations becomes court-admissible evidence. The CoE expert discussed good practices for evidence presentation (including in cases involving cryptocurrency) and introduced concrete cases concerning cooperative and expert witnesses. Twenty participants (17 men and 3 women) took part in the training, organized in collaboration with the National Institute of Justice.
