A two-day Training on “Liability of Legal Persons” takes place on 1-2 November 2018, in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Participants of the training include Georgian law enforcement agencies, namely the Prosecutor’s Office, State Security Service of Georgia, and Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance, and representatives of the Financial Monitoring Service (Financial Intelligence Unit of Georgia).

The training intends to enhance capacities of Georgian authorities to effectively enforce corporate liability, to analyse mechanisms of investigation and prosecution of criminal liability and evidence gathering, as well as the establishment of sanctions and alternatives to criminal proceedings. These issues will also be discussed at practical level through relevant cases studies.

The activity represents a continuation of the Project’s support to the Georgian authorities in enforcing liability of legal persons since 2015 through a series of capacity building actions.

activity is organised within the EU/CoE Partnership for Good Governance Project “Strengthening anti-money laundering institutions in Georgia”, implemented since 2015.
