Back Ad hoc thematic Steering Committee meeting of the project

A hybrid ad hoc Steering Committee (SC) meeting of the Project against Economic Crime in Kosovo* (PECK III) took place on 6 May 2021 in respect to improvement of the Anti-money laundering and combating financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) system.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the progress made in relation to the implementation of the recommendations contained in the 2018 AML/CFT Assessment of Kosovo’s compliance with international standards in AML/CFT area. Based on the Assessment, conducted within the framework of PECK II Project, the Government approved an Action Plan for improving the AML/CFT system which serves as a baseline for monitoring the progress in this area.

The representatives from beneficiary institutions showed commitment to monitor the implementation of recommendations and to take necessary actions to further align with international standards and enhance the effectiveness of the AML/CFT system. PECK III Project will continue to support authorities to monitor the progress in this area.
