The Congress will organise, in Tunis on 24 April 2019, an encounter "the Café des élues - Being a female politician: issues and perspectives" – an event aimed at promoting the exchange of experience and good practices between women local elected representatives from both shores of the Mediterranean. The "Café des élues" also aims to encourage the development of collaboration between elected women at the local level and to raise awareness of their role and responsibilities. This event is organised in partnership with the Actions in Mediterranean (AIM) association, ALDA, the Euro-Mediterranean Local and Regional Assembly (ARLEM), the European Union and the Moussawat programme, in the framework of of the Tunis Gender Equality Forum, held by the Tunisian government and UN Women.
