Back Meeting of the Ministers' Deputies on 27 February 2019

The Ministers' Deputies held their 1338th meeting on 27 February 2019.

During the meeting, the Deputies held exchanges of views with:

  • Mrs Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, on co-operation with the Council of Europe, including on the Action Plan 2018-2021, and the situation in Ukraine;
  • Mr Miroslav Lajčák, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and current Chairman-in-Office of the OSCE, on the priorities of the Slovak OSCE Chairmanship.

The Deputies approved the nomination of Witold Bańka, Minister for Sport and Tourism of Poland, as single European candidate to the post of President of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). This decision follows the recommendation formulated by the Ad hoc European Committee for the World Anti-Doping Agency (CAHAMA) at its extraordinary meeting on 30 January.
