Back 1299th meeting of the Ministers' Deputies (8 November 2017)

At their meeting on 8 November, the Ministers' Deputies took a series of decisions on the situation in Ukraine. In particular, they welcomed the progress achieved by Ukraine in its reform agenda and encouraged the continuation of the reform process, so as to ensure that Ukraine’s domestic legislation and practice are fully in line with the standards of the Council of Europe.

The Secretary General presented his 16th consolidated report on the conflict in Georgia, which covers the period from April - September 2017. The Deputies then held a debate on this topic, with the participation of Mr David Zalkaliani, First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

The Deputies took several decisions in the light of a report on the state of implementation of the commitments entered into by Azerbaijan (June 2015-May 2017). They also took note of a report on implementation of the Action Plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina 2015-2017.

Finally, they held an exchange of views with Ms Anna Rurka, President of the Conference of International non-governmental Organisations (INGOs), on the activities and projects of the Conference.
